Giuseppe Gamba, founder in 1950 of a small craft workshop, probably didn't imagine that his company would become one of the most important Italian companies in the field of wooden windows, wood-aluminum systems, wood-bronze systems.
During the first period of the company activity, working as a mechanic designer at his own carpentry workshop, the founder built both windows and wooden models for foundries and refrigerating rooms.
In the 60's an important growth of the export trades drove to a great ask for industrial products packing. With long wiew Giuseppe Gamba started the new company branch, dedicated to the wooden packings and cages design and production. This craft today is developed by Gamba Imballaggi company division.

In 1973 the management of the growing and expanding company group was given to the son Enrico, who enlarged and moved the plant into a new company hub, still in the city of Bergamo.

Due to the constant growing of the windows production and to the need of a larger area for the packing production, the corporate headquarter became inadequate: so in 1993 the company was moved into the new, bigger and suitable Azzano San Paolo settlement, a little far from Bergamo's previous site.
