ACCOYA:

DURABLE, STABLE AND SUSTAINABLE

A solid wood characterized by a reduced water absorption, extremely durable and with a very high dimensional stability.

The term Accoya refers to a process of hardening of soft woods: it is obtained from fast growing forests, managed responsibly, non-toxic and with dimensional stability and durability that exceed even those of the best tropical hardwoods. In fact, the most resistant woods come from exotic areas with the abatement of the Amazon forest causing the biological extinction of large trees.

The Accoya process instead uses woods traditionally considered soft (sweet), such as the Pinus radiata, of proven FSC (Forest Stewardship Council), therefore trees from sustainable industrial production and transforms them into woods of impressive hardness, comparable to that of teak.
